The National Sorig Conference, organized annually by the Faculty of Traditional Medicine (FoTM), serves as a strategic platform to advance research, academic exchange, and evidence-based practice in Sowa-Rigpa. Evolved from the Faculty Research Seminar initiated in 2021, the conference facilitates dissemination of research, sharing of clinical experiences, and scholarly engagement among practitioners and students, while supporting publication through the Bhutan Sorig Journal. As the 3rd edition, the conference reflects a growing national commitment to strengthening traditional medicine through research and capacity building, with a forward vision to expand into an International Sorig Conference engaging global Sowa-Rigpa practitioners.

Scientific Committee of the Conference
The Scientific Committee (SC) of the National Sorig Conference ensures the quality and academic integrity of the conference by reviewing and selecting high-quality abstracts for presentations in line with conference themes.
SC’s key responsibilities are:
· Reviewing and selecting submitted abstracts
· Nominating and confirming invited speakers
· Scheduling presentation sessions and panel discussions
· Identifying session chairs and co-chairs
· Appointing judges, masters of ceremony (MCs), and rapporteurs
· The SC also finalizes the overall conference agenda.
Through these roles, the SC upholds strong scholarly standards and contributes to advancing Traditional Medicine research and practice, while supporting the conference as a key annual academic event of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine.

Researchers, faculty members, clinicians, students, other Traditional Medicine professionals, and development partners are warmly invited to submit their abstracts and take part in the National Sorig Conference.
